AI – Invention and Ethics

Invention has always been considered the father of progress. Not only in the materialistic world, but also in the spiritual world, yogis and ascetic saints are constantly engaged in the search for their own inner self, that is, the divine within themselves. Through their own search, they discover a treasure of divinity that enables them to benefit not only themselves but the entire world. The blessings of such true ascetic saints always bring good fortune to the entire nation and the entire world. India deeply respects such saints who seek God because their search gives rise to a high level of divinity and spiritual wisdom. The wisdom that emerges from this wisdom is sufficient to guide the entire society. Our great India has remained established as a world leader to this day through these spiritual discoveries. In place of spiritual, higher divinity and materiality, the material world has now discovered a new intelligence called Artificial Intelligence (AI). We Indians are worshippers of intelligence. Even if it is artificial, this new system does possess intelligence. We must use this artificial intelligence with great caution. Because it is artificial, we cannot blame anyone for its wrong decisions.

The history of ancient India is replete with spiritual accomplishments, which were the pinnacle of natural intelligence. In the Ramayana period, Sita’s role appears as an artificial being in many instances. Sanjaya of the Mahabharata could narrate the entire war with his vision. Numerous yogis and ascetic saints of India possessed various kinds of accomplishments, which, as a result of their spiritual elevation, were far more positive and superior than today’s AI, because the background of all these accomplishments was spiritual and empathetic. It was not artificial, but a natural, high-quality spiritual intelligence. It was never used for destructive purposes. But whenever modern AI science becomes insensitive, it will prove disastrous.

This artificial intelligence will provide healthcare professionals with numerous tests and solutions within moments. If this process is successful, the need for doctors, even for consultation, will naturally decrease significantly. Their need will be limited to operations, but if, due to excessive reliance on AI, incorrect results are given as a solution, who will be held responsible? Forget about responsibility; the patient will already be in trouble by then.

In agriculture, drones will provide farmers with a wealth of information on various technical topics, including weather, soil quality, and other technical issues. In the field of education, children will receive a wealth of information on all subjects. Using this information judiciously is only possible in the presence of a natural teacher. The use of AI in the entertainment industry and business will undoubtedly lead to the development of new machines and technologies.

Now, regarding this AI, we need to consider who is operating it internationally. Companies like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Mate, and Google have concentrated the world’s technological development within themselves. Therefore, it is natural that if the new AI economy develops rapidly worldwide, only about a dozen companies and their countries will benefit from it.

This means that AI will develop a new international economy, but it will also weaken many aspects of every type of economy in weak and developing countries. Unemployment will increase rapidly, leading to increased inequality. AI will create rifts in society, affecting even middle-class families. The next disadvantage of AI is that it will use the information of millions of people around the world. Today, whenever we download an app, it asks for our personal information, photos, conversations, and more. In our haste to download the app, we grant it all the necessary permissions. In this way, these big tech companies use even the smallest of our personal information as the basis for their development.

This incorporation of personal information, flaws, and misinformation from all over the world makes it highly likely that AI will exploit people’s pockets by providing false information.

We’ve heard of hacking phones to withdraw money from banks, but now it’s even possible to use AI to fake someone’s voice and receive money. After such incidents, trust in even close relatives will be lost.

India has a Competition Commission, which controls unethical competition among businesses. This Commission was established under the Competition Act 2002. Similarly, there is a strong need today for India to enact appropriate laws for digital competition. Similarly, India must focus on establishing and developing its own technology companies. We can also consider imposing a digital tax on international companies that provide services to the Indian public, allowing India’s economy to effectively combat the potential for unemployment.

We must develop as many Indian industries as possible. This will only happen when the people of India start using indigenous products. There is no doubt that AI is poised to spark a major revolution across the world. But ensuring that this revolution does not lead to economic and intellectual bankruptcy must be taken up by every citizen of India, more than the government.
