AIADMK Faces Split Threat, 30+ MLAs Likely to Shift Towards TVK

New Delhi: Reports of internal divisions within the AIADMK have emerged. It is reported that several of the party’s 47 MLAs have urged the high command to support actor Vijay’s party, the Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam (TVK).

Amidst this development, a crucial meeting of AIADMK MLAs has been postponed. Growing discontent within the party is believed to be the main reason for this.

Disgruntled faction led by CV Shanmugam
Senior leader CV Shanmugam is leading the disgruntled MLAs. An important meeting is expected to be held soon at his residence to decide on the future course of action.

Warning to the high command, threat of split
According to sources, the party leadership has been informed that if a decision is not taken soon, more than 30 MLAs may defect and support Vijay’s TVK, which could lead to a major split in the party.
