Air raid black out drill today in Anantnag, Kupwara, directions issued

A Civil Defense Air Raid Blackout Mock Drill is being conducted in the districts of Anantnag and Kupwara today. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioners of both districts have issued public notices, appealing to the residents to cooperate and refrain from panicking.

According to the information released, the mock drill is scheduled to take place on Thursday at 3:30 PM, while the blackout exercise will be conducted from 8:00 PM to 8:10 PM. During this period, residents have been instructed to keep unnecessary lights switched off and to strictly adhere to the directives issued by security agencies.

The administration has clarified that this exercise is being undertaken with the objective of strengthening civil defense mechanisms in the event of emergencies and raising awareness among the general public.

Officials have appealed to the public to extend their full cooperation during this drill and to disregard any rumors.
