Air raid black out drill today in Poonch today, public appealed to adhere by rules

A mock drill will be conducted tonight in the Poonch district, situated along the India-Pakistan Line of Control. This exercise will take place from 8:00 PM to 8:10 PM, during which security preparedness will be put to the test.

According to reports, a complete blackout will be implemented across the entire area as soon as the first siren sounds at 8:00 PM. Ten minutes later, upon the sounding of the second siren, the power supply will be restored.

During this period, residents have been instructed to keep unnecessary lights switched off and to strictly adhere to the directives issued by security agencies.

In this regard, DC Poonch Ashok Kumar Sharma accompanied by ADC Poonch Tahir Mustafa Malik and SSP Poonch Shafqat Hussain, held a press conference and appealed to the public not to panic, emphasizing that this is merely a drill.
