Driver ‘drunk’, jumped off moving bus: Passengers
The accident, which occurred on Sunday, claimed the lives of Pooja Gurjar (30), a resident of Sundar Vilas, and Vimala (51), a resident of Foy Sagar Road. Pooja’s two sons have not yet been informed of their mother’s death. Meanwhile, Vimala’s son made a desperate attempt to save his mother by administering CPR inside the ambulance. There, some female passengers who had been on the bus alleged that the driver was under the influence of alcohol. They recounted how he suddenly began screaming and his hands started trembling, following which he opened the door and jumped out of the moving bus.
All the women and children were traveling to Pisangan in the Ajmer district to participate in a ‘Mayra’ ceremony; however, their journey took a tragic turn midway, ending in a horrific accident.
Two Innocent Children Lose Their Mother’s Guiding Hand

In this accident, Pooja Gurjar (30), wife of Vijay Gurjar, passed away while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The deceased Pooja’s brother-in-law, Yashwant Gurjar, shared that Pooja had married Vijay in 2012. Pooja is survived by two sons: 14-year-old Arjit and 10-year-old Jhanev. Both boys were also injured in the bus accident. One is currently undergoing treatment, while the other has been sent to stay with his maternal grandmother. Neither of the innocent children has yet been informed of their mother’s death. The family has managed to console them by showing them a photograph of their mother in the ICU and telling them that she is merely undergoing treatment.
Son administers CPR to mother in the ambulance
Vimla (51), wife of Omprakash Gurjar, also perished in the bus accident. The deceased woman’s son, Gaurav, recounted: “As soon as I received news of the accident, I rushed to the scene immediately. At that moment, people present there were helping to load my mother into an ambulance. I quickly climbed into the ambulance as well. I tried to speak to my mother, but she gave no response. During this time, I administered CPR to her, but there was absolutely no sign of movement from her side. When we reached the hospital, the doctors pronounced her dead.”
“The Kitchen is Empty; Who Will Cook Now?”
Gaurav, the son, recounted: “Mother used to worry a great deal about me. She would often forbid me from traveling long distances by car. She would always have my meal prepared and ready before I even returned home. But today, the kitchen stands empty.”
