SAD continues relief work in flood-affected areas, Launches village-wide fogging drive

New Delhi: In a continued effort to support flood-affected areas of Punjab, the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) has launched a large-scale fogging drive across villages to prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. This comes as part of a broader relief campaign initiated by the party following the recent floods that devastated several districts in the state.

The party had earlier provided diesel supplies, water pumps, generators, nets for embankment reinforcement, and fodder for livestock to affected regions. Now, as stagnant water increases the risk of diseases such as dengue and malaria, SAD has initiated village-level fogging operations to safeguard public health.

The initiative is being carried out under the leadership of Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal, who personally flagged off 500 fogging machines to be dispatched to the worst-hit villages. The fogging teams are being coordinated by Youth Akali Dal (YAD) volunteers and leaders, who are actively participating in the service themselves, going door-to-door to ensure thorough coverage.

Leaders and volunteers from the Youth Akali Dal are personally taking part in these hands-on relief activities.

Sukhbir Singh Badal, President of Shiromani Akali Dal, flagged off 500 fogging machines to be deployed across the affected villages as part of this preventive health measure.
