Major Blow to Akali Dal as Sarwan Singh Munim and others Join AAP

In a significant political development in Punjab, the Shiromani Akali Dal suffered a setback as Sarwan Singh Munim, District President of its BC Wing, along with his associates, joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted the leaders into the party in the presence of Talbir Singh Gill, who is the Halqa in-charge for Majitha.

The political shift did not stop there. Several other local leaders from Chawinda Devi village in the Majitha constituency also switched allegiance to AAP. These include Narinder Singh, Kulwant Rai Sundar, Vijay Kumar Bhandari, Harmeet Singh, and Paramjit Singh Prem.

The development is being seen as a major boost for AAP in the Majitha region, while posing a challenge for the Akali Dal ahead of upcoming political contests in the state.
