Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar shared a message to raise awareness about menstruation and women’s health through the quiz reality show Wheel of Fortune.

Pad Man Reminded and Called the Message Important

Akshay said that his film Pad Man has already been released and has served its purpose, but the message remains relevant even today. He urged people of all ages to watch the film and understand the importance of menstrual hygiene.

Special Message for Men

Akshay said, “It’s very important to understand what a woman goes through during those days. More than girls, men should understand how to take care of them.” He also said that sensitivity and support towards women are especially important during this time.

Sarvabhi’s Story and Social Change

Contestant Sarvabhi discussed the shame and stigma surrounding menstruation in society. He said that the film *Pad Man* reduced this shame and spread the message to every village. It ensures that men also understand and support women’s experiences.

In the film Pad Man, Akshay played a village man who is progressive and extremely sensitive towards the women in his family. He started making affordable sanitary pads for women. The film also starred Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor.
