Al-Falah Group chairman’s family property in Mhow gets notice for unauthorised construction

Madhya Pradesh: The Mhow Cantonment Board in Madhya Pradesh has issued a fresh notice to the occupants and legal heirs of a property belonging to the family of Al-Falah Group chairman Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, citing long-standing unauthorised construction.

Authorities have directed that the disputed structure be demolished within three days, according to officials on Wednesday (November 19, 2025).

The development comes even as Al-Falah University, operated by the Al-Falah Group in Faridabad, has become a major focus of the investigation into the November 10 Delhi blast, which left 15 people dead and several injured.

Notice References Decades-Old Violations

Cantonment Engineer H.S. Kaloya said the property — house number 1371, located on survey number 245/1245 in the Mukeri Mohalla area of Mhow — had been flagged for violations nearly three decades ago.

Kaloya stated that the board had issued multiple notices in 1996 and 1997 under the Cantonments Act, 1924, calling for the removal of unauthorised construction.
However, the structure was reportedly never cleared.

The new notice gives the present occupants or legal heirs three days to comply. If they fail to do so, the board will remove the structure and recover the expenses from the concerned parties as permitted under the law.

Link to Financial Fraud Case

The Madhya Pradesh Police have recently arrested Hamood Ahmed Siddiqui, brother of Jawad Siddiqui, from Hyderabad in connection with a long-pending financial fraud case in Mhow.

Officials said Hamood had allegedly been involved in a large-scale fraud dating back 25 years, and was taken into custody on Sunday (November 16).

Al-Falah University Under Scrutiny in Blast Probe

Investigators probing the Delhi blast case have identified Al-Falah University as a central point of interest.

The blast’s prime accused, Dr. Umar Un Nabi, served as an assistant professor in the university’s general medicine department.

Multiple individuals linked to the incident are believed to have ties to the institution. As a result, authorities are examining the university’s records, financial dealings, and administrative decisions as part of the wider investigation.
