Alaska Plane Crash: Aircraft With 8 Onboard Goes Down Near Remote Radar Station

A charter aircraft carrying eight people crashed in a remote part of western Alaska on Thursday, officials said. The flight had two pilots and six passengers aboard when the incident occurred near a radar installation.

The aircraft was reportedly travelling from Anchorage and crashed while nearing the Cape Newenham area. Authorities have not yet confirmed the condition or whereabouts of the people on board, and officials said the initial information remains limited.
