Punjab Govt Big Action: All contractual staff of PRTC, Punjab Roadways suspended, Read to know why

The Punjab government has taken strict action against the ongoing protest by contractual employees of the state-owned Bus service in Punjab. The employees have been protesting against the opening of the tender for the kilometer-scheme buses in Punjab.

All the contractual employees of PRTC and Punbus involved in the strike have been suspended. As per reports, the department has sent an email to all the employees informing them of the action taken against them.

Financial Loss to Govt 

The email by the transport department called the protest illegal. The email states that the employees have caused financial loss to the government by participating in the illegal strike. A fine has been imposed for not running buses on the route, and all the employees involved in the strike have been suspended from service with immediate effect.
