“Allah saved me”: Attack in Jammu, Farooq Abdullah safe

Jammu and Kashmir: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah has given his first reaction after the deadly attack. He said, “Allah saved me.” The attack took place during a wedding ceremony in the Greater Kailash area on Wednesday night. As Farooq Abdullah was leaving the event, a man named Kamal Singh Jamwal allegedly attempted to shoot him. However, the bullet missed him and the attacker was immediately apprehended.

This incident has again raised questions about the security arrangements in Jammu and Kashmir. National Conference leaders strongly condemned the attack and demanded strict action against the attacker.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Umar Abdullah visited his father. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, Congress leader Ghulam Ahmad Mir, and PDP leader Waheed-ur-Rehman Para also condemned the attack. Hurriyat Conference leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq also expressed concern over the incident.
