Massive Fire Breaks Out at Oil Packing Factory in Rajasthan’s Alwar, Nearby Units Evacuated

Jaipur: A massive fire broke out at an oil packing factory in the Matsya Industrial Area (MIA) near Alwar city on Saturday morning, triggering panic in the industrial area and prompting the evacuation of nearby factories as a precaution.

The fire broke out at Alwar Salvex, a factory involved in mustard oil packaging, at around 6 a.m. The blaze intensified rapidly due to the presence of large quantities of oil and packaging materials.

Towering flames and thick smoke were visible from a considerable distance as firefighting teams rushed to the spot.

More Than 12 Fire Tenders Deployed

More than 12 fire tenders from Alwar and Khairthal-Tijara were deployed to control the blaze. Additional fire tenders were also called from Bhiwadi and Khairthal-Tijara to strengthen the firefighting operation.

Firefighters continued to spray water through high-pressure jets in an effort to contain the flames.

Fire official Amit Meena said more than 12 fire tenders had reached the factory and firefighting efforts were underway.

As the fire intensified and smoke spread across the industrial area, nearby factories were evacuated to prevent any loss of life in case the flames spread.

A large crowd also gathered near the site after seeing the massive flames and smoke.

Minister, Officials Reach Spot

Rajasthan Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma reached the spot after receiving information about the incident. He met factory owner Pawan Chaudhary and took stock of the situation.

Alwar Collector Artika Shukla said administrative and fire department teams were present at the site and efforts to extinguish the fire were continuing.

The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained. Fire department personnel and other officials are investigating the circumstances that led to the incident.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation due to the presence of oil and other combustible materials inside the factory.
