Mumbai: Amaal Mallik has issued a strong warning to social media users targeting his family amid the ongoing controversy over the song ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’.

In a strongly worded post, Amaal drew a clear line between criticism of him and attacks on his family, saying the latter would not be tolerated.

Amaal wrote, “A statutory warning to the entire audience on each & every social platform of the world… Not a word about my family will be tolerated.”

Amaal Mallik Explains ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ Credits

Amaal said Armaan Malik sang the main version of the song, which helped it reach actor-producer Salman Khan and director Nikhil Advani for approval.

“Firstly, know that Armaan Malik has sung the main version, because of which it could be presented to the actor-producer Mr Salman Khan and director Mr Nikhil Advani. I made it, Kumaar sir wrote it, Armaan Malik sang it; hence it got approved and then Salman Khan sir sang it. That’s how the cookie crumbles, and that’s exactly how it happened, okay?” he wrote.

Amaal said the contributions of composer Kumaar and singer Armaan Malik were essential to the song’s creation and argued that the work that goes into making a song is often overlooked in later celebrations.

He also acknowledged Salman Khan’s contribution, saying that without the actor’s face and voice version, the song would not have reached where it is today.

Composer Warns Against Attacks on His Family

The composer further warned that he would “expose” social media users who targeted his family. He said he had stood by his father Daboo Malik and his family and would continue to do so.

“I will expose each one of you here if I find you saying anything against my family. Also, if anyone from the film industry, without probable cause or reason, stands up against me and mine, watch out, I’ll be coming for you,” Amaal wrote.

He added, “Music ka #Srk hoon main, magar gussa mera #SalmanKhan aur #SanjayDutt wala hai.”

Amaal said that while such situations may happen with others, he would not tolerate them when it came to Daboo Malik and his family.

“Daboo Malik aur unki family ke saath bilkul nahi… Amaal Mallik unke saath khada tha, hai aur rahega bhi. So, bhidna at your own risk,” he added.

‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ Credit Controversy

Amaal also referred to the public discussion surrounding his family and said there had been “public humiliation” following his earlier family breakup-separation post.

He said the situation had since been resolved, adding that it involved differences between his own ideologies and his parents’ beliefs.

The latest controversy began after Salman Khan’s home production shared a social media post marking 10 years of ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera’ but did not mention Amaal Mallik’s credit as the composer.
