SP Security In-charge Amarjit Transferred to State Crime Bureau Amid Corruption Complaints

Hisar: Another major move against corruption within the Haryana Police Department has taken place. Following persistent and serious complaints regarding corruption, the government has adopted a strict stance and transferred EASI Amarjit Singh who was serving as the in-charge of SP (Security) with immediate effect.

A special order regarding this matter has been issued by the office of the Director General of Police (DGP), Haryana. According to the order, EASI Amarjit Singh’s services have been transferred on deputation to the State Crime Bureau, Haryana, with immediate effect and until further orders. This order was issued by ADGP Vikas Kumar Arora.

Specific instructions regarding departmental inquiry in the order

The gravity of this transfer is evident from the fact that Police Headquarters has directed the Superintendent of Police (SP), Hisar, to relieve the officer of his duties immediately. Furthermore, the order explicitly states that before relieving him, it must be verified whether any departmental inquiry is pending against him in the concerned unit.

Special action taken following complaints

According to sources, complaints regarding the misuse of office and corruption involving Amarjit Singh had been reaching senior officials for some time. Acknowledging the seriousness of the matter, the government and police administration took cognizance of the situation; through this special order, he has been removed from the Security Wing and transferred to the State Crime Bureau.
