New Delhi : Amazon has unveiled plans to invest more than $35 billion in India by 2030, expanding its existing footprint and building on nearly $40 billion already invested in the country. The new commitment will fuel business expansion and strengthen three key focus areas — AI-driven digitization, export growth, and job creation.
The announcement was made on December 10, 2025, at the sixth edition of the Amazon Smbhav Summit in New Delhi.
A new Economic Impact Report by Keystone Strategy highlighted Amazon’s sizeable investment to date, naming the company:
Amazon’s investments include physical and digital infrastructure such as fulfillment centers, transport and delivery networks, data centers, digital payments systems, and technology development capabilities.

He added that Amazon’s growth aligned closely with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat, enabling millions of small businesses and creators to participate in the global economy.
Amazon expects its India operations to support 3.8 million jobs by 2030, driven by ongoing expansion in logistics, infrastructure, technology, and marketplace enablement.
The company’s investments continue to stimulate parallel sectors such as manufacturing, packaging, and transportation.
Reaffirming the long-term commitment, Agarwal said:
“We’re excited to continue being a catalyst for India’s growth as we democratize access to AI and quadruple ecommerce exports to $80 billion by 2030.”
