An ambulance carrying a referred patient to DMC Ludhiana met with an accident in Gagret of Una district on the Himachal-Punjab border today (Saturday) morning. 3 people died in this accident, while 2 others were injured. The police have registered a case and started further action.

The ambulance HP-92B-3613 carrying the patient went out of control in Manguwal, Punjab ahead of Gagret and fell into a 300 feet deep ditch. After some time, the police, with the help of the people present on the spot, pulled out the injured from the ditch and took them to Hoshiarpur hospital.

Sanjeev Kumar, Omkar Chand and Ramesh Chand, residents of Pathiyar Nagarota Bagwan Kangra district, died in this accident. The injured ambulance driver Bobby and a woman named Renu were admitted to Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur.
