New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Bikaner, Rajasthan, for a two-day tour beginning Monday, during which he will review border security arrangements and hold meetings with senior officials.

Providing details, Union Law Minister and Bikaner MP Arjun Ram Meghwal said Shah will arrive in Bikaner on Monday night and stay overnight.

High-Level Meeting on Security and Development

On May 26, the Home Minister will chair a high-level meeting with senior officials to review border security, anti-infiltration measures, and development works in Rajasthan’s border districts.

According to Meghwal, the meeting will focus on strengthening security arrangements, improving coordination among agencies, and expanding infrastructure in border areas.

Visit to BSF Outpost and Field Interaction

HM Shah is also scheduled to visit the Sanchu border outpost, where he will interact with Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and take feedback on security challenges and operational strategies.

Meghwal said the visit is strategically important for reviewing border management and development issues.

Coordination and Security Preparations Reviewed

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas reviewed security and administrative preparations ahead of the visit, focusing on coordination among agencies operating in border districts.

The review included discussions on surveillance, law and order, narcotics control, drone monitoring, and inter-agency coordination. Senior officials from BSF, NCB, BSNL, and BRO also attended the meeting.
