Amit Shah promises 1 lakh jobs annually in “infiltrator-free” Bengal

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday promised that the BJP would provide one lakh jobs annually to the youth of West Bengal if voted to power, while also vowing to make the state “infiltrator-free.”

Rally in Kulti Highlights Governance Pitch

Addressing a poll rally in Kulti in Paschim Bardhaman district, Shah said the upcoming assembly elections present an opportunity to transform the state’s governance and ensure merit-based employment for young people.

Focus on Transparency and Infiltration Issue

He alleged that jobs under the current administration were not being distributed fairly and asserted that a BJP government would prioritise transparency and merit in recruitment. Alongside employment, Shah emphasised the party’s commitment to tackling illegal infiltration, which he described as a major issue affecting the state.

Plans to Revive Industrial Growth

The Union minister also highlighted plans to revive West Bengal’s industrial sector, particularly in regions like Kulti, once known for iron ore production. He said the BJP would focus on restoring industrial activity, curbing illegal mining, and creating more job opportunities for local youth.

Attack on TMC Government

Shah further accused the ruling Trinamool Congress government of corruption and mismanagement, claiming that the BJP would work to eliminate “syndicate raj” and improve law and order if it comes to power.

Poll Campaign Gains Momentum

The remarks come amid an intense political campaign ahead of the West Bengal Assembly elections, where issues such as employment, migration, and governance continue to dominate the discourse.
