Ample electricity will reach the fields, the Punjab government is fully prepared for paddy sowing

Before the start of the paddy sowing season, the Punjab government has announced major relief for farmers. The government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, has clarified that farmers in the state will be ensured uninterrupted power supply for 8 hours during the paddy season.

Power Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund stated that the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has completed all necessary preparations for this crucial agricultural season. Farms and Livestock

The Punjab government aims to provide farmers with uninterrupted irrigation facilities so that paddy sowing can be completed on time and crop production is not adversely affected. Extensive arrangements have been made to ensure power supply in various districts as per the scheduled schedule, so that farmers do not face any problems during farming.

This schedule will be implemented in Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, and Hoshiarpur districts from June 1st, and in Faridkot, Bathinda, Ferozepur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, and Fazilka districts from June 5th. Additionally, more than 8 hours of electricity will be provided daily in Ludhiana, Malerkotla, Mansa, Moga, Patiala, Sangrur, Barnala, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, and SBS Nagar districts from June 9th.

Geographic Context He further stated, “The state government has given top priority to the agriculture sector and all necessary preparations have been completed to facilitate farmers during the paddy season.” Tarunpreet Singh Saund stated, “As per the directives of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, PSPCL will ensure that every motor connection issued for agriculture in the state receives more than 8 hours of electricity daily, so that farmers can carry out paddy transplantation smoothly without any hassle.”

He said, “The hardworking farmers of Punjab play a vital role in ensuring the food security of the country, and the state government is fully committed to providing them with all possible support during this crucial time.”

Minister Tarunpreet Singh Saund further said, “Dedicated teams of PSPCL officials and technical staff have been deployed across the state to continuously monitor the power distribution system. Special instructions have been issued to field officers to be available 24 hours a day and ensure prompt resolution of any faults, transformer-related problems, and other technical defects on a priority basis.” Weather

He further said, “The dedicated control room and grievance redressal mechanism have been further strengthened to ensure prompt resolution of farmers’ complaints during the paddy transplantation season.” Tarunpreet Singh Saund said, “PSPCL has already completed necessary maintenance work on transmission lines, transformers, and other power infrastructure to avoid unnecessary disruptions during this demanding season.”

The Power Minister further said, “The Punjab Government is continuously working to further strengthen the power infrastructure in the state and providing the required electricity to all sectors, especially the agriculture sector, is one of the key priorities of the Bhagwant Mann government.” Appealing to farmers to use electricity judiciously and adhere to the schedule issued by PSPCL, he assured, “The Punjab Government will leave no stone unturned to protect the interests of the farming community and ensure a successful and smooth paddy season across Punjab.”
