Amritpal Named 2027 CM Face by Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De)

Ludhiana: The Akali Dal (Waris Punjab De) has revealed its cards for the 2027 Assembly elections. The party has officially announced that Amritpal Singh, the pro-Khalistani MP currently detained in Dibrugarh Jail, will be their Chief Ministerial face. During a press conference held in Ludhiana, party functionaries launched scathing attacks on both the state and central governments, describing this decision as pivotal for the future of Punjab.

Taking the central and state governments to task, party leaders asserted that a calculated political conspiracy has been hatched against Amritpal Singh. The leaders alleged that the National Security Act (NSA) was deliberately invoked against Amritpal Singh specifically to keep him sidelined from Punjab’s politics.

Demand for Amritpal’s Release

The party clarified that although the NSA provisions were recently lifted, Amritpal Singh has yet to be released, a situation they deemed contrary to the principles of democracy.

A Regional Party is the Only Solution for Punjab

Speaking at the press conference, the party emphasized that neither parties controlled from Delhi nor national-level parties can effectively safeguard Punjab’s interests. They argued that only a regional party can truly comprehend the issues concerning Punjab’s land, water, and farming community. They declared that Bhai Amritpal Singh represents the voice advocating for Punjab’s rights and that in 2027, the public will elect him as their Chief Minister.
