Amritsar Man Arrested for Knife Attack on College Student in Chamba, Himachal Pradesh

Chamba: On Saturday, in Chamba city, Himachal Pradesh, a young man from Amritsar attacked a college student with a knife. Police acted swiftly and arrested the accused at the scene. The injured student is said to be a resident of Hardaspura neighborhood and currently attending college. The accused man was also harassing her.

According to information received, the accused has been identified as Arjun Veer Singh, son of Balwinder Singh, a resident of Amritsar. He works at a salon in Chamba city. It is reported that on Saturday, while the woman was on her way to college, the accused approached her and began harassing her. When the student reached a short distance from the women’s police station in Bargah, the accused suddenly arrived and attacked her with a knife. The girl suffered a serious neck injury. Doctors say she has a wound seven centimeters long and two and a half centimeters deep on her neck. Her condition remains critical. However, the student managed to escape the accused’s clutches and save her life with the help of nearby people.

Police took the accused into custody

Upon receiving the information, a police team from Sadar Police Station, including SHO Surendra Kumar, arrived at the scene and arrested the accused. The injured woman was admitted to Medical College, Chamba, where she is undergoing treatment. Police have recorded the victim’s statement, filed a case against the accused, and begun further investigation.
