A bus carrying pilgrims from Punjab overturned at Shahtalai in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. Two pilgrims from Amritsar died in the incident, while 13 others are reported injured. The injured are undergoing treatment at PGI Chandigarh, Hamirpur Medical College, and Barsar Hospital.
According to reports, the pilgrims from Amritsar were returning home after visiting the Baba Balak Nath Temple during the day on Sunday. Around 10:30 PM, their bus went out of control and overturned near Shahtalai. Kavya (son of Kuldeep Kumar) and Ritesh (son of Ajay Kumar), both residents of Amritsar, died on the spot.
Chaos and cries for help erupted at the scene following the accident. Locals immediately informed the police and the administration. Subsequently, the police, administration, and locals launched a relief and rescue operation and transported all the injured to the hospital.
Treatment underway at Barsar Hospital
Seven injured individuals are being treated at the Civil Hospital in Barsar. One critically injured pilgrim has been referred to PGI Chandigarh, and two others have been referred to Hamirpur Medical College and Hospital. Some were discharged after receiving first aid. More than 35 pilgrims were on board the bus; the majority did not sustain injuries.
Navdeep, Dushan, Renu, Gurpreet, Sukhwinder, Jasveer, and Kajal sustained minor injuries in the accident, while Ansh and Vansh are reported to have sustained significant injuries. Shiv, who was critically injured, has been referred to PGI Chandigarh.

PHC in Shahtalai closed; injured taken to Barsar Hospital
The injured were initially taken to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Shahtalai, but as the centre was closed, they were immediately referred to the Civil Hospital in Barsar. The injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital. Some have sustained serious injuries.
