Amritsar Police action against drugs, three smugglers arrested in two different cases, 9.2 kg heroin recovered

Amritsar: Amritsar Police acting on the intelligence inputs have arrested three persons in two different cases of drug smuggling. Police also recovered a total of 9.2kg of heroin. The information has been shared by DGP Gaurav Yadav on his X handle.

Acting swiftly on intelligence inputs, CP Amritsar Police, in two different cases has recovered 9.2 Kg Heroin and arrested three persons.

In the first case, Police Station Chheharta has apprehended two drug smugglers from the area of Shiva Enclave, Rajasansi, Amritsar Rural.

In the second case, Police Station Ranjit Avenue arrested a drug smuggler and recovered 1 Kg of Heroin.

In both cases, police have lodged FIRs under NDPS Act and Investigations are ongoing to establish backward & forward linkages in the matter.
