Amritsar Rural Police arrest Tarn Taran man linked to ISI, Recovers hand grenades

Amritsar: In a major breakthrough in the fight against cross-border terrorism, the Amritsar Rural Police has arrested a man allegedly linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI and recovered two hand grenades from them.

The arrested individual has been identified as Ravinder Singh alias Ravi, a resident of Tarn Taran district. According to preliminary investigations, Singh was reportedly in direct contact with agents of Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and had received a consignment of explosives via cross-border smuggling routes.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Gharinda Police Station in Amritsar, and a detailed probe is underway to uncover the wider terror network involved in this smuggling and potential terror plot.

Authorities are also exploring whether the grenades were meant to target key installations or public gatherings.
