Amritsar police arrest two terror operatives, 1 RPG recovered

In an intelligence-based operation, the Amritsar Rural Police, in close coordination with central agencies, apprehended two terror operatives. The arrested have been identified as Mehakdeep Singh alias Mehak and Aditya alias Adhi from Amritsar. The police team also recovered one Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG). The information has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were in contact with Pakistan’s ISI operative who had sent the weapon, and with Harpreet Singh @ Vicky, currently lodged in Ferozepur Jail.

The RPG was intended for a targeted terror attack. FIR has been registered at PS Gharinda, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to unearth the entire network.
