Amritsar Police Bust Cross-Border Heroin Smuggling Module, Arrest Drug Kingpin

Amritsar: In an intelligence-driven operation, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police have busted a cross-border narcotics smuggling network with links to Pakistan, apprehending drug kingpin Rajpal Singh and recovering 5.025 kg of heroin.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the arrested accused was part of a network coordinated by a Pakistan-based handler, using the Dera Baba Nanak sector to receive drug consignments.

An FIR has been registered at PS Chheharta, Amritsar, and the probe is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the network, including both backward and forward linkages.
