ISI-Linked terror plot busted: 2 more grenades recovered in Amritsar

Amritsar, October 6, 2025: In a major breakthrough in the ongoing operation against cross-border terrorism, Amritsar Rural Police has recovered two more hand grenades from an accused identified as Harpreet Singh alias Happy alias Milkha, a resident of Tarn Taran. This takes the total number of hand grenades recovered in this case to four.

According to a statement by DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav, the recovery was made after swift action on the back-and-forth links discovered during the investigation.

ISI link exposed

Initial investigation has revealed that the accused was in direct contact with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) handlers. He allegedly received the consignment of grenades through cross-border smuggling channels, which appears to be part of a larger terror conspiracy aimed at disrupting peace in Punjab.

Case registered, investigation underway

A case has been registered at Gharinda police station in Amritsar. Punjab Police has initiated further investigation to identify and dismantle the vast terrorist network involved in this operation.
