Amritsar Police recovers 400 mobile phones worth ₹85 lakh

Amritsar Police has achieved a major success. They have recovered nearly 400 lost mobile phones and returned them to their original owners. The total value of these mobile phones is estimated to be approximately 85 lakh. All of these phones were collected by tracking them from various locations.

On this occasion, Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, while speaking to the media, stated that the police department always prioritizes maintaining good relations with the public and helping them. He added that the police had previously organized two special programs, in which the first 100 and then 200 mobile phones were returned to their owners. Now, under the third program, approximately 400 mobile phones are being returned.

An appeal to immediately inform the police if a mobile phone is lost.

The Police Commissioner stated that losing a mobile phone not only results in the loss of the phone’s value, but can also result in the loss of important data, which is often very valuable and important. Therefore, he appealed to the public that if anyone loses a mobile phone, they should immediately inform the police so that it can be tracked as soon as possible.

Phones Tracked Across the Country Using the CEIR Portal

He explained that the Central Government’s CEIR portal was used to track mobile phones. This portal allows tracking of mobile phones across the country. Using this technology, several mobile phones were recovered from various districts of Punjab and other states.

The recovered mobile phones include 13 iPhones and 387 Android phones from different companies. All these mobile phones were tracked and recovered by teams from the Cyber ​​Police Station and other police stations. The Police Commissioner congratulated the entire team for this success and said that the hard work of the police and the proper use of technology are making it possible to recover lost items.
