Amritsar rural police bust drug smuggling network, 2 arrested along with 7 kg heroin

Amritsar: In a major blow to drug smuggling, Punjab police have achieved another remarkable achievement by busting a drug smuggling network. Police busted a drug smuggling network operating trans network. Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav gave the preliminary information on his X handle.

In a post on X he said that Amritsar Rural Police apprehended 2 suspectsof drug smuggling network. Police also recovered 7 Kg of Heroin, 5 pistols, 5 live cartridges & 5 magazines.

Investigation of Police has also revealed Pakistan link in the smuggling network. Police has registered FIR under Arms Act & NDPS Act.
