Andhra Man, Already Grieving Wife’s Death, Kills His Children; Later Found Dead

Amaravati: A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Thursday in Thudumaladinni village in Uyyalawada mandal of Nandyal district in Andhra Pradesh.

The bodies of Vemulapati Surendra (35) and his three children, Kavyashree (7), Dhyaneshwari (4), and Surya Gagan (2), were found in a house.

Police suspect Surendra first poisoned the children and then committed suicide. He was raising them alone after his wife Maheshwari committed suicide in August 2025.

Father was suffering from financial and mental stress

According to locals, Surendra was a construction worker and was facing financial and mental stress after the death of his wife.

Police believe that this stress and depression led him to take this drastic step.

The bodies have been sent for postmortem examination, and the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation. Samples recovered from the house have been sent for lab testing.

Man killed in chit fund dispute in Telangana

In another incident, a businessman died due to a chit fund dispute in Govindapalle village of Jagityal district, Telangana.

According to police, there was a dispute between **Anjayya (58) and Dasozhu Srinzu over a chit fund of ₹1 lakh. An argument escalated over the ₹12,000 outstanding amount demanded by Srinu, and he, along with his son, Dasozhu Venu, attacked him.

Anjayya died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Police have launched an investigation against the accused.
