Anganwadi helpers to get promotion in Haryana: Quota increased to 50%, recruitment on vacant posts soon

The Haryana government will promote Anganwadi helpers. The government has increased the promotion quota from 25% to 50%, so that experienced helpers get a chance to move forward. After the promotion is completed, new recruitment will be done on the vacant posts. This information was given in the monsoon session of the Assembly.

Congress MLA Geeta Bhukkal had questioned about the vacant posts in Anganwadi. There are a total of 25,962 Anganwadi centers in Haryana. 25,962 workers and 25,450 helper posts are approved for these centers. At present only 23,106 workers and 20,641 helpers are working.

Recruitment stuck due to selection criteria
The proposal to fill the vacant posts of Anganwadi workers and helpers in the Women and Child Development Department was under consideration with the department for a long time. In view of the guidelines of the Government of India of August 2022, the recruitment process remained stuck due to the selection criteria for appointment. Now the government is going to start it. However, it has not been decided whether this recruitment will be done at the district level or at the state level.

Anganwadi workers are getting an honorarium of Rs 14,750

According to the Women and Child Development Department, Anganwadi workers with more than 10 years of experience are currently getting an honorarium of Rs 14,750. Anganwadi workers with less than 10 years of experience are being given an honorarium of Rs 13,250. Apart from this, Anganwadi helpers are being given an honorarium of Rs 7,900.
