Anmol Gagan Maan Out of Vidhan Sabha Committee: Neena Mittal & Kuldeep Dhaliwal Step In

Chandigarh, August 10: Punjabi singer, former minister and MLA Anmol Gagan Maan may have withdrawn her resignation from the post of MLA, but she has been relieved from the Question and References Committee of the Assembly from the year 2025-26. Now Rajpura MLA Neena Mittal has been appointed in her place.

The member was nominated for the remaining term of the committee. Similarly, Ajnala MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, who was removed from the post of minister some time ago, has been nominated in another committee which fell vacant due to the death of Tarn Taran MLA Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal.

The speaker took action under this rule

In the order issued by the Assembly, it is written that this action has been taken by the Speaker under Rule 183 of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. At the same time, Neena Mittal has been nominated in place of Anmol Gagan Mann for the time being in the committee. Similarly, Tarn Taran MLA Dr. Kashmir Singh Sohal died on 27 June 2025. Due to this, a seat in the business committee was vacant. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal has now been appointed there. The Speaker has taken this action under Rule 180 (3) of the Assembly.
