ANTF arrests drug smuggler’s wife and mother, heroin, cash, gold, and silver recovered

Ludhiana: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) has taken major action in the case of notorious drug smuggler Sandeep Singh alias Seepa, arresting his wife and mother. The two women, who had gone missing after Sandeep Singh’s arrest, were later restrained in Ludhiana and arrested during a raid.

Heroin, cash, and precious metals recovered
During the arrest, ANTF officers recovered 2 kg of heroin, drug money worth ₹47.50 lakh, 100 grams of gold, and 500 grams of silver from the women. ANTF AIG Gurinderbir Singh stated that the gold and silver were purchased with the proceeds of drug trafficking. This seizure reveals how the accused family was investing their earnings in the drug trade.

Details of Sandeep Singh’s Previous Arrest
Sandeep Singh, a resident of Shana Sher Singh Wala village in Kapurthala district, was previously arrested on November 22nd. He was caught with a large consignment of 50.14 kg of heroin while returning from the Jalalabad area. Following his arrest, his wife and mother went missing for some time, raising questions about their possible role in the drug network.

Drug Network Spreads Across States and Investigations Underway
ANTF officials stated that this drug network is not limited to Punjab, but extends to Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. A total of 52 kg of heroin and ₹6.8 million have been recovered so far in this case, including the latest seizure. The investigation team is expecting further seizures and efforts are ongoing to dismantle the entire network.
