Jalandhar: A major violent incident was reported from the Basti Sheikh area of Jalandhar, where dozens of armed assailants allegedly attacked a house over an old personal feud.

According to reports, the attackers entered the house carrying sharp-edged weapons and created havoc by vandalizing property. Glass windows, household items, and LCD televisions were smashed during the attack.

Old Dispute Allegedly Triggered the Violence

The victims claimed that the accused were previously known to them and had been involved in an ongoing dispute related to an old matter.

According to the family, three friends had been called to the house for some work earlier in the day. Soon after, several phone calls were exchanged, which reportedly led to rising tensions between both sides.

The family alleged that shortly afterward, more than 12 youths armed with sharp weapons arrived at the house and launched a violent attack both inside and outside the property.

House Damaged During Attack

During the incident, valuables inside the house were damaged. Window panes, furniture, and LCD televisions were reportedly broken, leaving the house badly vandalized.

Residents in the area were shocked by the attack, and panic spread in the neighborhood after the group allegedly created chaos with weapons.

Police Begin Investigation

After receiving information, a PCR police team reached the spot and started investigating the matter.

The victims said they are preparing to submit a written complaint to the police station.

Police officials have started examining CCTV footage from nearby areas to identify the attackers. Authorities stated that strict action will be taken against those involved once they are identified.

The investigation is currently underway.
