3 arrested in Punjabi singer murder case, main accused absconding

Amritsar: Police have arrested three accused in the murder case of Punjabi singer Inder Kaur alias Yashinder. Investigation revealed that the main accused, Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha, wanted to marry Inder Kaur, but Inder rejected the proposal after learning that Sukhwinder was already married and had two children.Conspiracy hatched after coming to India from Canada

According to police, Sukhwinder arrived in India from Canada via Nepal on May 8. On the night of May 13, he called Inder Kaur and invited her to the Nilo Canal bridge, where he was already present with his father, Pritam Singh, and two friends. The accused kidnapped Inder, shot her, and threw her body into the canal.

Body and car recovered from the canal

After the murder, the accused broke the license plate of Inder’s car and drowned it in the canal. During the investigation, police recovered the singer’s body and car from the canal. The pistol and cartridges used in the crime were also recovered from the accused.

Father and friend arrested, search continues for the main accused

Ludhiana police have arrested Sukhwinder’s father, Pritam Singh, and his two associates, Karamjit Singh and Ravinder Singh alias Ravi. However, the main accused, Sukhwinder Singh, remains at large. Police say he will be apprehended soon.
