Assam Horror: 8-Year-Old Girl Abducted, Raped and Murdered; Teen Accused Arrested

Assam: An eight-year-old girl was abducted, raped, and murdered in Madanmohan area of Assam’s Sribhumi district on Wednesday. Police said the incident came to light after the girl was reported missing.

Accused Pretends to Help Search
The teenage accused reportedly joined the search for the missing girl. He was even seen riding pillion with the victim’s father while the family looked for her. According to police, he acted as if he knew nothing about the crime.

Accused Caught and Handed Over
Locals later caught the boy and thrashed him before handing him over to the police. Additional Superintendent of Police Tribhuvan Bhuyan confirmed the arrest.

Motive Claimed by Accused
The accused reportedly told police that the girl’s father had tortured him earlier. He claimed he committed the crime to take revenge. The case is under investigation.
