Narnaul: An attempted theft by unidentified miscreants was reported at the residence of Haryana Congress State President Rao Narendra Singh in Narnaul.
According to reports, the accused broke the locks and latch of the main gate late at night and managed to enter the premises. However, after staff members and family members inside the house woke up after hearing noises, the miscreants panicked and fled from the spot.
Speaking to Dainik Bhaskar App, Rao Narendra Singh said the intruders first broke the locks of the main gate before forcing open the latch to gain entry into the house.
Meanwhile, people inside the residence became alert after hearing movement within the premises, forcing the accused to escape before carrying out the theft.
Rao Narendra Singh Targets Government Over Law and Order Situation
Reacting to the incident, Rao Narendra Singh said the attempted break-in reflects the deteriorating law and order situation in Haryana.
“When the state Congress president’s home can be attacked, it is easy to imagine the plight of ordinary people in the state,” he said.
The Congress leader alleged that crime has been continuously increasing in Haryana and claimed that law and order has completely collapsed under the current administration.
Referring to a recent murder case in Subana village of Jhajjar district, Rao Narendra Singh said criminals openly firing in public demonstrated that offenders no longer fear the law.
Targeting the government further, he stated that people in the state no longer feel safe and demanded immediate steps to improve security and policing.
He also warned that if the situation does not improve, the Congress party would launch protests against the government.
Bhupinder Singh Hooda Demands High-Level Probe
Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also condemned the incident and demanded a high-level investigation.
In a social media post, Hooda termed the attack on the residence of the Haryana Pradesh Congress President as “highly condemnable and shocking.”
He said the incident exposed the “bankruptcy of law and order” in the state and cited the central government’s Social Progress Index to claim that Haryana was becoming one of the most unsafe states in the country.
Hooda urged the government to rise above politics, ensure a thorough investigation into the matter, provide strict punishment to those responsible, and arrange immediate security for Rao Narendra Singh’s family.
