Mumbai: Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi is back as his popular character Shivam Pandit from the cult classic Awarapan. The makers of ‘Awarapan 2’ unveiled the film’s trailer on Thursday, bringing back the character with a darker, more intense and emotionally charged journey.

The trailer showcases Shivam as a more hardened and scarred man, carrying the burden of his unresolved past. The film promises a story filled with revenge, redemption and emotional conflict.

Shivam Pandit’s darker return

In Awarapan 2, Shivam is shown dealing with deeper pain and anger while pursuing a purpose that drives him forward. The trailer presents a gritty world filled with action, intense emotions and a quest for justice.

The character has aged since the first film and carries the scars of everything left unfinished in the original story, reminding audiences of why Shivam Pandit became one of Emraan Hashmi’s most memorable roles.

Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi join the cast

The film introduces Disha Patani as Zara, adding a new emotional layer to Shivam’s journey.

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi plays Nafisa and is shown delivering a powerful presence in the trailer. The movie also features Puran Gabbi, Anirudh Rawal, Surendar Vicky, Vijayant Kohli and Atul Kumar in important roles.

Music continues Awarapan’s legacy

The music of Awarapan 2 aims to continue the emotional identity associated with the franchise.

The album has been composed by Mithoon, Jeet Gannguli, Amaal Malik, Ankit Sachdev and Wasif Ahmad, with lyrics by Sayeed Qadri, Rashmi Virag, Akhil Sachdeva and Sachin Singh Chandel.

The popular track “Tera Mera Rishta”, composed by Mithoon and sung by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma, features prominently in the trailer.
