Bad Weather Alert In Himachal For Next 5 Days, Rain & Hailstorm Likely From Tomorrow

In Himachal Pradesh, the weather is expected to remain clear today, but from May 11, that is, tomorrow, the weather will change again. According to the Meteorological Center, from tomorrow onwards, the western disturbance is becoming active in the state once again. Its effects will be seen for 5 days. According to IMD, from May 11 to 15, there is a possibility of rain, storms, hail, and snowfall in higher regions in many parts of the state.

For this, the department has issued different alerts for different days. According to the meteorological department, for May 11, a yellow alert has been issued for Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts for rain with thunder and lightning and strong winds blowing at 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Meanwhile, on May 12, the effects of the western disturbance, which will be active from tomorrow, will be seen the most. On May 12, a yellow alert has been issued for Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts for thunderstorms, lightning, rain, and hail. In these districts, there is a chance of stormy winds blowing at 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Strong winds will also affect Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti. The Meteorological Department has advised people to stay alert during bad weather. Meanwhile, the weather will remain bad on May 13 as well. A yellow alert has been issued in Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, and Shimla districts for thunder, lightning, rain, hail, and strong winds with speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour.

Possibility of lightning

There is also a possibility of lightning in several areas. From May 14, the western disturbance will weaken. After this, light to moderate rainfall is expected to continue in the central and high mountainous regions. Light snowfall may also occur in Chamba, Kullu, Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, and high-altitude areas.

Meanwhile, on May 15, there are indications of partial improvement in the weather. The weather may remain clear in the plain’s areas, while in the high mountainous regions, there is still a possibility of light rain and snowfall in some places.
