4 Killed, 2 Injured After Car Collides With Harvester in UP’s Bahraich

Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh: At least four people were killed and two others injured after a car collided with a combine harvester in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich district, police said on Sunday.

According to Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava, the accident occurred when a car travelling towards Bahraich collided with a combine harvester that suddenly entered from a side road.

“We received information that a car was going towards Bahraich. A combine harvester came from a side road and collided with it,” SP Srivastava said.

Four Die on the Spot in Violent Collision

Police said four occupants of the car died on the spot due to the impact of the collision, while two others sustained injuries.

Soon after the accident, local police teams and emergency services rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials said the condition of the injured persons was being monitored.

Police Begin Investigation Into Accident

The damaged vehicles were removed from the road to restore traffic movement in the area.

Police have initiated an investigation to determine the exact circumstances leading to the collision, including whether negligence or overspeeding played a role in the accident.
