Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday levelled serious allegations against Union Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing him of orchestrating a conspiracy to weaken the party by engineering defections.

Claims of Poaching MPs Surface

Addressing an urgent press conference, AAP Punjab spokesperson Baltej Pannu alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is attempting to destabilise AAP by using senior leader Raghav Chadha as a “tool.”

Pannu claimed that Shah has assigned Chadha the task of persuading seven AAP Members of Parliament to defect to the BJP, in what he described as an effort to weaken the party’s presence in Parliament.

“Amit Shah wants to poach our MPs, and for this dirty politics, he is taking the help of Raghav Chadha. We will not let this conspiracy succeed,” Pannu said.

He further maintained that AAP legislators and MPs remain united and firmly stand behind party leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann.

Political Row Intensifies

The allegations have stirred political debate in both Punjab and Delhi, raising questions about internal dynamics within AAP. So far, neither Raghav Chadha nor the BJP has issued an official response.

Pannu added that the party will not succumb to any pressure and hinted that more evidence related to the alleged conspiracy will be presented soon.
