Youth killed in brutal attack with sharp weapons in Batala; Video of incident surfaces

Batala, August 5: An atmosphere of terror prevailed in the village of Ghanieke Bangar near Batala late on Tuesday evening when a 27-year-old youth was stopped on the road by some villagers and attacked with sharp weapons. The youth was going with his family.

During the attack, the youth suffered a serious injury in his stomach, due to which he was immediately taken to the Batala Hospital, but he died on the way.

After this incident, an atmosphere of fear has been created in the village. A video of the attack is also going viral on social media, in which a minor quarrel and an attack are shown. This video is likely to have been made by someone on the spot.

The police have reached the spot and started an investigation. The body of the youth has been sent for postmortem. According to police officials, it is being suspected that the attack was due to old enmity or personal enmity.

Batala police are identifying the culprits, and raids are also being conducted to arrest some people. An additional police force has been deployed in the area to maintain peace and order.

The villagers have demanded that the culprits be arrested soon and given strict punishment, so that the fear of law remains in the area.
