Behbal Kalan Firing Case: SIT Summons Sukhbir Badal Again For Questioning On September 11

Chandigarh: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has again summoned Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal for questioning in connection with the 2015 Behbal Kalan shooting incident. He has been asked to appear before the SIT in Chandigarh on September 11th.

Sukhbir Badal has appeared before the SIT before. He has previously stated that he will appear whenever the investigation team summons him for questioning.

Akali Dal Questions Punjab Government’s Move

Akali Dal spokesperson Arshdeep Singh Kaler said that the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab is currently embroiled in numerous issues. He alleged that the government is taking such actions to divert public attention from the real issues.

Kaler said that the government cannot divert public attention from the real issues by doing so. He added that the government has been rebuffed on two court dates in this matter, after which he has been summoned.
