At least 10 people were killed and around 20 others injured after Israeli missile strikes targeted parts of Beirut overnight, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing Middle East conflict. The strikes reportedly hit the Jnah neighbourhood in southern Beirut, causing widespread destruction and panic among residents.

Lebanese authorities confirmed that multiple missiles struck parked vehicles and nearby areas, leaving behind large craters, damaged buildings, and debris scattered across the site.

Targeted attack on Hezbollah-linked sites

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the overnight operation involved two separate raids aimed at Hezbollah-linked targets. According to Israeli officials, the strikes were intended to eliminate senior members of the Iran-backed militant group operating in Lebanon.

However, there has been no independent confirmation regarding the identities of those targeted or whether high-ranking operatives were among the casualties.
