Young Tourist Found Dead Near Bhagsu Nag Waterfall in McLeodganj

Dharamshala: The body of a young man has been found near the Bhagsu Nag Waterfall in the tourist town of McLeodganj. The deceased has been identified as Rahul (33), a resident of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Rahul had come to Himachal Pradesh with his friends for a trip.

According to reports, Rahul was hiking with his friends in the McLeodganj and Bhagsu Nag areas. He suddenly collapsed near a trekking route above a waterfall. His companions tried to revive him, but he was already dead. The incident was immediately reported to locals and the police.

Upon receiving the information, a team from the McLeodganj police station arrived at the scene. The police have taken the body into custody and begun an investigation. The body has been sent to the Zonal Hospital in Dharamshala for a post-mortem examination. The exact cause of death will be revealed only after the post-mortem report is received.

Initial Suspected Cause

The cause of death is initially being reported as a heart attack, although the police have not yet officially confirmed this. The police have also informed the deceased’s family about the incident and are awaiting their arrival in Dharamshala.

Police officials said the case is being investigated from all angles. Further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and medical examination.

The McLeodganj and Bhagsu Nag areas are popular tourist destinations for both domestic and foreign tourists, attracting a large number of visitors daily. The incident briefly caused panic in the area.
