Chandigarh, Sep 5: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali due to ill health. Today his mother and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia visited him.

He was admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali on 26 September 2024. A routine checkup revealed that there was swelling in the artery of his lungs, which was increasing the pressure on the heart and making the blood pressure unstable.

Later it was revealed that Mann had an infection called leptospirosis. It is a bacterial infection that spreads through contact with rain and dirty water and can affect many parts of the body. With constant monitoring and the effect of medicines, his health improved. Three days later, on 29 September 2024, he was discharged from the hospital.
