Bhartiya Kisan Union Ugrahan stages protest in Bathinda; gherao of DC office

The Bharatiya Kisan Union Ugrahan is holding a state-level protest today against the DC office of Bathinda, for which the district police have imposed a large-scale blockade.

Even the houses of senior leaders of the Ugrahan organization were raided by the police at night, and some were taken into custody. While the police have imposed large-scale restrictions to stop this protest, the farmer leaders say we will definitely hold it.

In this regard, Bathinda DIG Harjit Singh said that while the Ugrahan group is holding a state-level protest, it should not cause any inconvenience to the people, for which a large-scale blockade has been imposed on the district roads.

He further added, No one is allowed to take the law into their own hands. Because last year, our DSP was attacked by farmers, in which an FIR was registered, in connection with which some farmers were arrested and sent to jail, regarding which we also said that an inquiry will be conducted and whatever is right will be done, but today they are staging a protest at the DC office to free the farmers, which we will not allow.
