LS Elections 2024 : A major update has come out about when the Lok Sabha election dates can be announced. According to the news received with reference to the sources, the Election Commission can announce the dates of the Lok Sabha elections on any day after March 13. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections may be held in 7-8 phases

The Election Commission may announce the dates of the Lok Sabha elections after March 13. The Commission has been holding regular meetings with the Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of all states for the past few months to assess the preparations. Officials said the CEO has listed problem areas, movement of EVMs, need for security forces, strict vigilance at borders.

In particular, the Election Commission is planning to use artificial intelligence for the smooth conduct of elections this year. Sources in the Election Commission said that the commission is visiting several states to review the preparations for the general elections and the dates will be announced after its completion.

According to a report in India Today, the Election Commission may use artificial intelligence technology for free and fair conduct of Lok Sabha elections to be held before May. It may also create a department for artificial intelligence within the ECI to flag and remove misinformation on social media and digital platforms.
