New Delhi: Popular television actor Gaurav Khanna was crowned the winner of Bigg Boss Season 19 in a closely contested grand finale on Sunday night, securing the trophy after a 105-day run inside the reality show house.
Khanna edged out fellow finalists Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal and singer Amaal Mallik, concluding a season marked by high-voltage drama, strategic alliances and competitive tasks.
Khanna, who entered the show as an underdog, gradually emerged as a strong contender, gaining attention for his calm gameplay and minimal involvement in conflicts. His performance in endurance-based tasks, including the Ticket to Finale challenge that required balancing water bowls under pressure, was widely credited for shifting momentum in his favour. Host Salman Khan praised Khanna during the finale, calling him the “superstar of television” and commending his composed conduct throughout the season.
The winner took home the Bigg Boss 19 trophy, a cash prize of ₹50 lakh, and a Citroën AirCross car valued at ₹14 lakh. Khanna is also reported to have earned approximately ₹2.6 crore as weekly remuneration on the show.
Social media erupted following the announcement, with #GauravKhannaWinner trending across platforms as supporters celebrated his victory. In his post-win speech, Khanna thanked viewers, family and the show’s creators, dedicating the trophy to “silent warriors who believe in playing with dignity.” Industry colleagues and former contestants congratulated him, while reports hinted at potential OTT projects in the pipeline.
